WHO IS THE M.I.C.?
Voices of Equity was launched in June 2020 by The Multicultural Insights Collective, a diverse consortia of research, media, and professional education professionals who share a commitment to anti-discrimination efforts in business. We are:
- A research-based community…
- Informed by ongoing consumer insights on topics related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and representation…
- That activates opportunities for professional and organizational development
Simply put, we conduct groundbreaking research on topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion – and then we help you put it into action. And we do that by allowing businesses to cost-share comprehensive, multi-stage research engagements that can be too expensive to fund on your own. Then, we help you activate learnings through professional development resources and peer networking.
We also believe in walking the walk of the talk we talk. That means being inclusive ourselves. That’s why we’re not charging non-profits with a DEI or racial justice mission. As a corporate sponsor, you not only get access to our research and professional development resources, you can bring along a non-profit for free. And as a non-profit, if you bring a corporate sponsor into Voices of Equity, you’ll get everything they get – no charge.
Our nine-member leadership team includes the founders of six woman and/or minority-owned businesses. We span in range from Millennials to Baby Boomers, in varied geographies across the United States. But we’re not simply veteran researchers, media specialists, and entrepreneurs; among us you’ll also find a rock bassist, a celebrity stylist, an author, a hip hop dancer, a multilingual immigrant, two fathers of mixed-race daughters, and the mother of an autistic son. We bring that dimensionality and empathy to all of our work.
